Schools find that Hollowford is an ideal venue and that why it's no surprise that we see the same schools year after year, one school has now been coming for over 25 years and after each visit we are told “that was even better than last year, thank you”.  Rather that the traditional end of year trip we finding more and more schools visiting us in the autumn term so that they then have the rest of the school year to build on the learning that takes place during a Hollowford visit.

We encourage visits in advance, as we are confident that you will be impressed. Hollowford has small bedrooms, group rooms with TV and Video facilities & an indoor games area. Our kitchen provides healthy meals that children will eat and we are happy to help with all the safety related matters which teachers get involved in prior to taking a group out of school.

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities that include both on-site and off-site activities.

We hold an AALA (Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority) license. Our staff are generally qualified to a higher standard than the minimum requirements and are, more importantly, highly experienced. By working with small groups (8-10) each child has the opportunity to participate fully.

The value of outdoor education and other educational visits cannot be underrated and provides a powerful stimulus for young peoples development.  Our programmes inspire young people, engage them in challenging activities and encourage them to develop their personal and social skills.
