The session will cover a range of interactive techniques (many derived from overseas development and over 20 years of natural resource based consultancy work) for raising awareness around ecological heritage and people’s relationship with the natural world.

The session will be indoors or out depending on the weather.

I will give people a bit of an overview on participatory learning approaches (drawing on a lot of overseas examples as well as UK).

Participants will then be guided through trying out a variety of interactive, fun, participatory learning techniques which can easily be combined with indoor or outdoor activities.

The session is applicable to anyone working in countryside management, awareness raising, outdoor education and even facilitating difficult ecological decision making processes. In fact any situation where you wish to raise people’s awareness of their relationship with natural world or help them make more informed ecological decisions. The techniques can be used with all ages.
