How can a huge industrial complex be situated right in the middle of the National Park? How did it get here? What does it do? How important is it and how does in impact on local people? Meeting one of the ex-managers of the site and getting a close up view of the massive quarry, we will explore some of these questions and many more using one or two simple perspective taking exercises and some open discussions.

Chris Robinson and Rachael Lyon work for the Peak District National Park Authority in the Learning and Discovery Team, working with school groups delivering environmental education and opportunities to experience and enjoy the special qualities of the Peak District National Park.
