Canoe & Kayak

Paddlesport – Canoe and/or Kayak. Spend some time on the water

The majority of sessions are in open (or Canadian) canoes with 2 or 3 persons per boat. Team work is required and a bit of practice to be able to go in straight line. But completing a journey gives a real sense of achievement.

Kayaks are paddled alone and skills can be a little harder to master. We can run a mixed “paddlesport” session so people get a chance to discover both types of boat.

Why? These activities provide the opportunity to undertake personal challenge and work in small team teams. You learn skills such as paddle strokes to propel a canoe. Pushing comfort zones and a sense of achievement.

Where? Primarily off site but short introductory sessions can be run on the small pond at Hollowford.

How long? Best as a half-day session
